Programme approach

Behind the scenes: a new approach to the coronary & structural heart disease and endovascular programmes

The coronary & structural heart disease programme

New gateways to approach the programme

As the coronary programme was being built, the Board decided to organise the sessions into gateways, or approaches.
These gateways mirror the life-cycle of a device, moving from innovation to the techniques that can be applied to the technology, onto clinical studies, and finally evidence which often leads us to establishing guidelines.

Innovation

As a springboard for innovation, EuroPCR puts you in contact with the latest devices and the best innovations in the field. The strong presence of the industry movers and shakers allows you a glimpse of the technology still in the pipeline. The Innovation track helps you keep up to date with the latest inventions and abreast of this fastpaced industry.

Technique

Learn it here and take it back to the cathlab! The Technique track has been built to enable you to get your head - and your hands - around new techniques, as well as fine-tuning the ones you use as part of your daily practice. With the interactive Learning the Techniques sessions, the latest tips & tricks, live case demonstrations and hands-on simulation.

Clinic

Focusing largely on case based education, the Clinic track is built to connect technical know-how with in depth clinical judgement. Everyday decision-making must take into account many different elements, whilst remaining patient-focused. The Clinic track will help you see the trees from the woods, and ensure you make the right decision for each individual patient.

Evidence

What data matters? A simple yet complex question forms the basis of the Evidence track. EuroPCR unites a community that covers over 90 countries, with a variation in local constraints that is mind boggling to say the least. We aim to use these differences to spark debate and share experience by providing a platform for the community.

The Endovascular programme

Two parts for two audiences

This programme is divided in two, targeting both interventional cardiologists and peripheral practioners.

Endovascular basics for interventional cardiologists

A programme for interventional cardiologists wishing to expand their current practice to endovascular/peripheral. This tailor-made programme covers all peripheral vasculature, with live case transmission as the central learning tool.

Endovascular practitioners

For physicians already working in the endovascular field, these sessions will bring you up-to-speed with the latest techniques, technology and current controversies, with debate and discussion in an interactive format.
